The last tune seems to be "Gram Chara ei Ranga Matir Poth" - a Bengali folk song. The name roughly translates to "The Red-earth Path from the Village".
Sitar at top
Nikhil Banerjee is a Sitar exponent who had been famous for his sweet tone sitar and a very talented musician himself. Raga Nat Bhairav is specially very sweet and cant stop listening to it again and again. What a bargain is this album ! The folk tune at the end depicts the eastern Indian influence on this artist's Sitar playing, he being from that region. I was able to relate the tune with many songs from the Indian Hindi Cinema. very nice !
i listened to many sitar cds while relaxing and made sure not to look at the titles. this cd struck me as the best. great rythem and sound...gets you into the groove
very good sitar music; ideal for unwinding yourself.
Very good ragas played by the great maestro. He has both the grace and the speed.
This is an excellent piece of Indian classical music with a good mix of sublime and light classical ragas. Nikhil Banerjee's albums are hard to find and it is good to see this on iTunes.
